Broken Memory: A Story of Rwanda - Elisabeth Combres, Shelley Tanaka
I read this book on the plane. Even though it's 144 pages, the print is pretty large, so you'll get through it rather quickly. I think it needed more of a narrative as I found it difficult to make an emotional connection with the main character although I did develop a connection to her friend. This is more of a retelling of events than an in-depth character development. It's maybe good for younger readers as an introduction to the genocide in Rwanda.
