It wasn't a bad read, but I wasn't wowed by it, either. The book has some cursing but not a great deal. I identified the killer very early on, and there was no surprise, no twist before the end. Having just read one of the Hamish Macbeth series before this one, I was expecting to like this one more; instead, I liked it a fair bit less. If someone were to give me more books in the Agatha Raisin series, I would read them, but I don't think I'll purchase any others. Beaton will still get her fair share of my coin, however, because I am fan of her Hamish Macbeth series. This one just didn't come alive for me. Maybe I had my expectations too high because I enjoyed the Hamish Macbeth so much.
