Dying to Meet You - Kate Klise, M. Sarah Klise
With characters named Ignatius B. Grumply, Olive C. Spence, Frank N. Beans, Seymour Hope, and Paige Turner, I really expected this to be a witty, cheerful book, even for a ghost story surrounding an abandoned boy, and I wasn't disappointed. In addition to the punny character names, I enjoyed reading the newspaper inserts from the Ghastly Times where "Your Secrets Are Our Business," and the illustrations that appear throughout the text just add to the ever present charm of the book.

My favorite quote from the book belongs to Olive in her "farewell" letter to Ignatius and Seymour: "Be kind to each other. Remember that other people are as real as you. Other people's feelings are as real as yours. In fact, our feelings are what make us real."

Way to go, Olive; that's the kind of good advice we would all do well to heed.
