The Book of Five Rings from SmarterComics - Miyamoto Musashi, D.J. Kirkbride, Mark DosSantos, Cullen Bunn
I'm a fan of Musashi, so I was looking forward to reading this, and it didn't disappoint. The graphics were interesting, and I appreciated the use of color. The visuals reiterated the meaning of the text and made the lessons applicable to a modern audience. My favorite quote: "The foreman must take into account the abilities and limitations of his men, circulating among them and asking nothing unreasonable. He should know their minds and spirit, and encourage them when necessary." If I replace "foreman" and "men" with "teachers" and "students," I have a pretty good summary of my own philosophy.

This would be a good reference to use when introducing The Book of Five Rings to a younger audience; it doesn't supercede the original, but it does enhance it nicely.
