The Lost Empress (Jefferson Tayte Genealogical Mystery) - Steve Robinson

This is my first time reading a book in the Jefferson Tayte genealogical series, but I really enjoyed it. At first I didn't really like the protagonist, Alice, because I thought she was weak, but then she began to show strength of character that made me admire her. Besides If I were in her position, I don't know that I would've done things any differently. She was in a very difficult position, and she did what she thought was best for her family. I don't think anyone can blame her for that. The character I enjoyed the most is Archie. Geez, where all the men like him in real life? Overall, this is a good series for anyone interested in history and mystery in one place.
